Turtle eco-education tours operate from the Jurabi Turtle Centre over the summer months from December to March. Join our guides and scout for female turtles making their way on to the beach to find a suitable place the lay their eggs.
Discover facts about the different turtle species and their habitats along the way. Towards the end of the season you may even be lucky enough to encounter turtle hatchlings as they emerge from their nest, making their way to the ocean to start their long journey to adulthood.
Turtle Eco-Education Tours are educational tours that not only provide a high chance of finding and observing turtles, but also teach participants how to do so in an unobtrusive manner.
By participating in one of these guided tours, you are actively helping to conserve marine turtle populations and will have a better opportunity to view turtles in their natural environment. During the tour you will be guided by staff who will explain more about Ningaloo marine turtles and the environment they occupy, while minimising disturbance to the turtles.
To join a Turtle Eco-Education Tour (December to March) book online or call the Ningaloo Visitor Centre on 08 9949 3070.
